There are little more than 600 to 700 Malayan Tigers
in the wild at this time. This has led to them being
included on the endangered species list. Poaching and
the loss of its natural habitat are the leading causes
of the reduction in their numbers.
The Malayan Tiger shares many of its physical characteristics
with the Indochinese Tiger including overall weight
and size.
Malayan Tigers feed on a variety of animals that inhabitat
their areas, this includes antelope, deer and water
buffalo. Attacks on humans are usually caused by older,
weaker tigers since humans are easy prey for them.
