The Bengal Tiger has the ability to make its home
in various conditions. This includes everything from
grassy fields to tropical forests. It is the most common
subspecies of tiger in terms of numbers in the wild.
Occassionally white tigers are born but this is very
rare. This is due to a genetic mutation.
It is estimated that fewer than 5000 Bengal Tigers
exist in the wild worldwide. The vast majority of these
make their home in India. |
